looks like its in the way, how bout under the seat or mount to the tranny tunnel on the passenger side or even right under the glove box or mount it to the roof, just some ideas.

It's really not, i see how it looks in the picture. But it's actually tucked into a dead space in the corner when the door is shut. Because its also appears to be in the way of the grab handles and it's not.
