Sure would be nice if the members could actually talk about things other than whats strictly on the schedule, I know I am not the only one thats not happy with the direction the club is going. Guess I will take the time out this weekend and just make a general post about how I feel the direction of the club is going.

Sarg, the only time it's not open for general discussion is during a SPECIAL MEETING of the board. Special meetings are called for a specific purpose, but the regular meetings are more 'casual'.

This meeting is a REGULAR MEETING....Send Amy Webb anything that you want included on the agenda....specific topics please. We'll get them out there for everyone to think about before the call. (better discussion when people have time to forumulate their thoughts)

Introduction of the New Officers

Brian, (33yr), Married for 13 years to Meghan and has a 13 year old son, Colton. Joined TX4WD October 10, 2010. Has been an active wheeler since joining TX4WD. Brian has was elected Katy Chapter President 2 years ago and still holds this position. His rigs have included a 1992 YJ, sold, 1997 TJ, selling, 1989 XJ which he currently uses on the trails, a 1977 GMC Jimmy, which he is currently building, and a 2007 Chevy Z71 he uses as a tow rig.

Lupe, has been married to his wife Norma for 3 years. He has been wheeling on and off for 18 years and counting. His first rig was a 1985 Toyota 4x4 pickup followed by a 1992 Wrangler (YJ). Lupe’s current rig is a Gecko Green JK named “Slimer”. He is an HSE Coordinator for a small oil and gas company. Before his current position he was a financial analyst for a real estate company. Lupe also briefly ran his own real estate business and managed his owned bookkeeping. Lupe has a BBA in Finance from The University of Houston, which help expose him to accounting and finance.

Amy, has a 2007 JK named Penelope. She joined TX4WD in the summer of 2013. Her vision for this organization is to create a concrete foundation for us to expand the knowledge of the sport, off-roading while also helping the community. Her first step in accomplishing this, is to unite not only TX4WD chapters but also other off-road enthusiasts.*


Review of Active Chapter Assessment
Referencing the 'Chapter Roll Call' as the current 'active chapter assessment',the Secretary brought the results to the floor for review and discussion.

Chapters that responded include; Bryan/College Station, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Katy, Liberty, Lufkin, San Antonio, Southeast, and Tomball/Conroe.

A motion was made to remove Brownwood, Corpus Christi, Hill Country, San Jacinto and Waco chapters from the list of active chapters; closing the chapter forums and removing from the chapter map available on the forum.- Adam
Motion was seconded by Susan.
Question by Clint, “How long have these chapters had to respond to roll call?”
Answer by Chair “Since October 2013, and there has been no activity from them on the forum.”referred to the roll call completed August 2013 and recommendation posted on the forum to remove these (no objections posted on forum thread).
None opposed, motion was accepted to remove said chapters.

New Business
Our vision for 2014
Texas Incorporation
Motion was made to move forward with incorporation before next board meeting by Jeremy.
Motion was seconded by Brian.
General discussion, Teresa to get final numbers from SOS filing fees (to be posted by January 24, 2014). Discussion that each chapter will put in what they can to go toward these expenses before the money is spent. No motion was set.
Reduce liability of officers

Organization expenses / budget
4WP Discount Cards in organization name for all members (cash back revenue for organization)
concerns were addressed about how this would be determined, will all of the chapter's cash back go to organization or percent? How will this money be spent? Discussion was made to look into the program more and we will readdress it.

Question from Tyler “What does the organization do for the chapters, and where does the money go?”
Answer from the Chair, "The money raised by the organization is used toward the forum, trademark fees along with the stickers we distribute to new chapters. Now that we have a responding BOP, things like event insurance and a 501c7 will also benefit each individual chapter too."

The meeting was adjourned at 9:36p.
