View Full Version : wheeling 101
Ok, so my wife, Camo Queen, brought this up to me today. She really doesn't have any wheel time and is wanting to wheel her rig. Her rig is still a little ways of being done. So what i was thinking was to have a day for beginners. It can be for inexperienced drivers and I can arrange for it to be at the new upcoming park in Huntsville the trails range from easy to hard, its not a far drive and can easily be made as a day trip. So if your wife has been bugging u like mine has now is the time to let them have at it :fitshan

Marc and I talked about something like this a few years ago. This is a great way to get more people out in their rigs. I'd help out.

Sounds like fun.. I let my wife start on the bunny trails at Barnwell Mountain, and by the end of the day, she was running 3's and 4's.. But she still needs some seat time behind the manual trans for the bigger obstacles.

JD has no idea what disciplines and agenda mean... Or what they are doing in the same sentence. What would be some examples? What are your suggestions?

Susan and I would be down to go. Susan is very experienced, and is good at spotting. It is easier for women to take direction from other women I think. I teach recovery classes so maybe we could start out with a recovery and off roading 101 class and turn it over to Theresa and Susan and let them take the girls out and the guys could hang out and drink beer. Katy did a valentines day run for 2 years in a row and we had a great time. We did not host one this year and that was what it was geared to was letting the other half wheel. It was fun!

My Parents just purchased a 12 JK that my mom is itching to get dirty. She would probably be up for taking a day trip to huntsville to learn. Heck even i would love learning more from those of you who are more experienced.
