    In need of a head.

When mine cracked, it ended up being cheaper to buy a new head from the dealer and have the machine shop swap all the valves, etc, from old to new.. Used ones are hard to find and usually no guarantee that they are any good..

Yeah,I mite buy one from Odessa. They have new castings with reinforced areas $560 shipped with a head gasket kit And new head bolts.

All I'm doing is fixing it to sell it,maybe I should sell it as is.its a very clean XJ just got hot because of a new leaking radiator.

Thanks for the offer,I won't ask to put you out on something that I'm not keeping for myself. But if you spot one let me know.
I won't put the same casting number back on it #0331, the better one is #0630 95-99 years or 03 and up.

Yeah, I think mine had the 0331 casting on it.. and it got hot from busted plastic radiator... cracked the head and exhaust manifold. I want to say I paid $280 for the casting from the stealership, plus had to pay for gaskets and all the extra stuff.. The junkyard head they wanted $300 for it, and no guarantee that it wasn't warped or cracked...

Ive got a 99 xj 4.0 head I bought a while back and never used it. I got it from a shop that went through it and cleaned it up as well as looked it over for any flaws. Its just sitting around the shop so I would like to see it gone. Message me if you are still needing it.
