Hi everyone,
So i am having an issue i need advice on. I got a new set of tires and a set of 16 inch jeep rims to fit them but when i went to get them installed the rear tires are rubbing on the rear strut coil mounting plate at Frame barely rubbes but the 1/2 in to 3/4 inch will destroy new tires. So question is i dont want to go chaning rims again but i am not sure can i grind or cut part of the strut plate maybe 3/4 inch back or will this be an issue later or should i get wheel spacers installed. went from 235/75/15s to 265/70/16 Thanks for Tires Sarge they rock ! just need to mount them on jeep any help would be greatly appriciated.
Pics attached of plate on strut with old tires on Pics 4 is a good top down of the strut plate at frame looked at it again its because my procomp strut mounting plate at frame from lift being welded onto frame stick out too far for new tires to fit without mods.
