I agree they shouldn't hold Pres or VP But Sect....that's cool if no one else will do it?
Pres or VP - conflict of interest, in my opinion.

But the BOD is made up of one person from each chapter...who better than chapter leadership?

It SHOULD be one person from each chapters leadership. It only makes sense.

Think of it as a regional business.

Each chapter is a different office. Each office has a manager, followed by team/shift leaders, and then the workers.

So in our case, the President or Vice President of each chapter would report together to a BOD meeting. This is where a system of checks and balances ,so to speak,comes into play with each one offering their own opinions. You need to run it with votes of the BOD just like a directors meeting.

Run it like a conglomerate business instead of a sole proprietor ship. Minus the money factors.

I think that the first meeting of BOD should be at the Statewide Meet in September.

BOD should meet at least one time per quarter, if not two. One should be mandatory, to help plan out TX4WD events as a whole organization for the next quarter, etc.

I'm just throwing things out there, its up to someone to really take charge and put some organization into it.

You have to care and be passionate about what you are doing. If you aren't passionate, you won't put in the planning and effort needed, and it will fail.

the Board of Presidents....sounds like we are saying the same thing!! The structure is laid out in the bylaws....

My point was that 'chapter leadership' applies to Pres & VP not run coordinator or secretary....IMHO

At this point, we don't know which chapters are/are not active.
So, let's keep it simple.

Let's start there - ROLL CALL.

I'll post a thread for that purpose.
