I was just curious what the thoughts were on possibly having a swap meet at the statewide meet in September. Or if its even possible.
Can anyone chime in?
Jeff

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, it could be set up in a out of the way corner. Someone would have to monitor it while parts are out unless its all on the honor system.

i have boxes upon boxes of cj stuff i could sell
Brian why dont you talk to Steve and the guys up there and just make it happen. If you don't want to ask them about it let me know and I will contact them.
I've all ready been approached by one of the bigwigs and it doesn't seem to be a popular idea to have a bunch if parts sitting around out there. Now having said that the idea of using the SW to swap parts that have all ready been sold is a go.

But it seems that no one really is interested in the FS section. People primarily impulse buy if they see something minutely useful in person.
I think if we roped off a small area for a swap meet area and put stakes in the ground and a piece of cardboard with our name & # stapled to that in front of our goods, and the seller keeps an inventory list in his pocket, that we should be able to trust people within our tx4wd group.
More deals are made in person than by browsing online.
Jeff. That's cool, guess what your now in charge of the statewide swap meet, congrats! Lol
People just need to know that anything they bring up, could possibly walk away... I know it's a shock that people that we hang out with cant be trusted. No, I'm not pointing any fingers at anyone, I'm just saying that anything is possible. People need to know that your items WILL NOT be babysat while they're out wheeling, so should something come up missing the ranch WILL NOT be held responsible. Because you are being forewarned now.
I think it's also a safe assumption that anything left after the meet will be sent to the scrap yard and the money will be donated to the club/ranch.
