Holy crap those are expensive.. I have seen stock Rubicon axles go for much less than that. But to further complicate things. Here is what I have
Dana 44 front from 74-F-150, F-250 outers for 8 lug. 4.88 gears, lockrite locker, Chromoly axles Paid $400
Dana 60 From 1968 Chevy 3/4 ton 4.88 gears factory powerlok locker, paid $400
Iron rock offroad Axle brackets for the rear, paid $225
Rubicon express Axle brackets for the front, paid $375
had the brackets welded on for $150
Total $1550, by the time I am finished, I will have about $2K in them, for much stronger axles. Granted this isn't typical, but I waited for deals to come along via Craigslist and the forums.
