Replacement CB radio

I'm going to be in the market for a new CB radio soon, if anyone has any suggestions or intel that would be of use. I would like a compact radio w/ weather and a SWR meter.

I can get u a full size 29ltd tweaked and tuned all day long for $80 but its a big radio.

My only problem is I really don't have the room for a full size radio, I've been running a Cobra 18WXSTII. I'm thinking about getting another one and having it tuned. I can found one w/ tuning for $140 shipped.

Check on a cobra 25, same internals as a 29, just no bells or whistles, I have a cobra 29 lx LCD that has the weather alerts and see meter, don't wanna sell it though

I had skimmed over the Cobra 25, I didn't realize it has the same internals, I might need to look into. I'm not going to pull any triggers yet until Sgt. gets back with me on his source.

That's what my cb guy told me at least, I would definitely check with sarge, I heard his cb guy today on the air when I was passed through he is definitely loud and proud, I heard from quite a few people that he's good at what he does, if u can find an older cb those are a lot better than the new ones, I asked my cb guy on the way through Vinton and he doesn't have any 25's , I personally have a ranger rci 6300f, a cobra 29ltd classic, and a cobra 29 lx LCD, all of which have been worked on, also remember good coax and a good antenna will make a world of difference
