In my younger (much stupiderer days) I had a very similar experience. I passed a cop on Hwy 80 out near Gonzales on a Banshee. But when he passed me coming the other direction and turned around to catch me, I went a head and pulled over. He clocked me doing 77 in a 70. At the end of the whole deal, we had a laugh about it and he let me go.

I had a 92 taurus SHO police pursuit package, Im pretty sure he wouldn't have got away if that cop would have had one. Crown vics suck in pursuits. Then again after having to flip around to start he had a great head start. Yet another reason P.D.s should switch to a better suited car. The crown vic has been great but hasn't seen a major change since 99 or so. The least Ford could do is bring back the 5.0 or something better than the current platform and drive train. I spent 5 yrs outfitting police cars and that was one cheif complaint.
