TORC Partnering with Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit

TORC: The Off-Road Championship Presented by AMSOIL announced today it is partnering with the Guardian For Heroes Foundation to promote the Second Annual Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit & Auction May 1-3 in Fort Worth, Texas. The goal of the benefit is to raise money for the organization founded by the late Navy SEAL and subject of the Oscar-nominated film, American Sniper.

The Guardian For Heroes Foundation provides free, in-home programs, personal training, and life coaching to in-need Veterans with disabilities, or those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) from combat deployment.

The benefit will have a sizable presence at TORC’s season opener, the Roundup in Texas at Texas Motor Speedway April 24-25, with Wayne Kyle, Chris’s father, named as the Grand Marshall for the race. There will also be a Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit booth at the track where fans can donate to the foundation and learn more about Kyle.

“It’s an honor for the Kyle Family—Deby and myself, our son Jeff, and daughter-in-law Amy—to partner with TORC to carry on Chris’s legacy and be true to his motto ‘It’s our duty to serve those who serve us’,” said Wayne Kyle.

TORC President BJ Birtwell said it is a privilege for the series to recognize the legacy of an American hero.

“At its core," he said, "TORC is filled with men and women who love this country and have the utmost respect for those who serve it. To be able to be part of this benefit and honor a man like Chris Kyle and the Guardian For Heroes Foundation is very special to us and we will do our best to spread their message.”
