Hey, I have a check engine light turned on for my JK, code P2096 which is post catalytic fuel trim system too lean. I took my car to the dealership and they said that I need to make an appointment to get my fuel injectors cleaned. I do have signs of dirty injectors such as a rough idle and worse gas mileage than I usually get. The dealer said that they hook the injectors up to a machine that pumps a chemical through them for 45 minutes. Is there any benefit to taking it to the dealer to do this cleaning or should I just poor some techron in the gas tank? Thanks for any help!
