Almost got it back together today..
New rotors, hubs, ball joints..
New currie steering vs. stock!
Just gotta hook up the stabilizer and put my tires on and do an alignment..
For anyone that needs to change the lower ball joints, if the ones you buy come with a grease fitting like this one, it won't work.. The axle shaft u-joint hits the fitting... I searched all the hardware stores and auto part stores lookin for a "plug" style grease fitting to put in there, with no luck.. The guy at oreilly said he's never heard of anyone having that problem before.. What I ended up doing was making plugs for them.. The threads on the fitting were 1/4"-28 so I searched for a bolt that thread pitch, and found that the driveshaft u-joint strap bolts are the correct pitch, I had some old ones in my toolbox so I cut them down and used them as plugs!
Also found out that renting the ball joint removal tool from the auto parts store was a life saver!!! I bent a couple regular c-clamps before I finally gave in!
