I have a detroit truetrac on front of my offroad rig the 1995 cherokee (Dana 30) and was thinking of putting a selectable locker in its place. My question is could I place the detroit truetrac in my daily driver a 03 Liberty which has a dana 30 in front also? Or are the rigs too different to do this. I did exploring wheeling in New Mexico with the Liberty and plan to do it again in Arizona. What are your opinions.

I would contact Eaton to confirm, but it appears to be the same p/n for both vehicles per the application list below:

Yeah I would call. My 99% sure just took a whack. I thought the liberty 30 has some differences and it may but not not effect this. Lots of conflicting stuff. Some have the same part number some do not list it,... Let us know for sure when you find out.

Most all the differences are in them pinion either long or short. Carriers interchange in all d30's high or low pinion.

I suspect that it will work, ask Eric O'Sullivan club member and owner of Lone Star Ring and Pinion. He will know, that is what he does for a living.
