So I ran into a guy that had this setup. He is a member of the San Antonio Radio Club. Looks like the San Antonio chapter could possible have a testing center for our operators licenses.

I listen to the Tomball Repeater with my Kenwood TM-281A.
Using a 4' Firestick, works really well (compared to nothing, this is my first setup)

I mainly use the local dstar repeater in BCS. Icom ID 51 handheld my main radio. I have a 10 meter set up in my jeep. Member of BARC(Bryan Amateur Radio Club), however been working out of town the last 6 months so been out of the scene.
