I think i looked at it.........yea i remember now I did.
lol I look at mine every day as I walk past it wishing it was in better shape.
Good news tho! I finally got me a PSC assist ram. I'll post some pics when I go to install it.
scored a softop, got to go pick it up next Sat.
I finally found a plenum to start my snorkel build. I've been going back and forth to O'Reilly's ordering a bunch of Spectre parts to make a modular snorkel. So far it's looking like it'll have to come out the front corner of the left fender.
The plenum looks great and matches up to the carb perfectly. Once I finish the mockup, I'll seal it down with some good, red silicone. My finger shows where I'm planing to route the rest of it to the outside.
That little notch will put the tube coming out of the fender here, where my finger is. I'm thinking about riding the hoodline all the way to the A pillar, then coming up and ending at the roofline like a typical snorkel.
I was considering running the snorkel to the interior thru the heater core like how I have the valvetrain breather hose, but I'm still not sure if that's the route I want to go. It would involve less material, and provide a secure mounting point for the filter to prevent theft, but it looks tricky.
The tan square near the bottom left of this picture is where the firewall opening dumps into the cabin. For now, I have the valvetrain vent routed thru a deleted a/c vent, and up the a pillar and across the sun visors. It's extra tubing until I decide where I want to put it after a new dash. If I ran the snorkel inside like I wanted, it would run similar to this, but come out the dash between the glass and the dash which would require cutting of a new dash, and then up the a pillar. This would keep it more out of the passengers' way.
Also, here is the 2" PSC ram I have. I have some mounting tabs in the garage ready to be drilled and prepped for welding, but I'm saving that for when I get it into a shop. There's no need for it just yet.

Hey don't paint it. The 90s multi color is the new retro. You just need some swirlies, zig zags, and dorito triangles. and maybe some yellow.
