    wheeling free for all....

A friend has some property that has potential to be a cool place to wheel. This coming weekend it will be open to anyone that wants to try it out. There is a shady place to camp, spring fed creek, several rocky outcroppings, miles of two tracks, and lots of cool washes and creeks. Has a dirt pit with ledges and rock piles, and more. Bring anything that goes in the dirt. It will be open Friday to Sunday. He is looking for feedback on forming trails and more. Come try it out for free this weekend only!!!! Entrance is on 1696, four miles west of hwy 75, across from Roberts road. Stay on that driveway, it is two miles long till you enter past a deerblind into the property. Keep following another mile or so and you will see the quarry. Camping is in the pasture behind the quarry.....

Should be a good trip for some BCS folks, too, but unfortunately I am leaving on vacation this weekend. Also, we are supposed to get rain every day this week...

And how big is the place? Any chance to get a Google satellite image and outline the boundaries?

Yes, I went and checked it out today. Mostly sand soil, little bit of clay and quite a few places where there is rock sticking out of the ground. It is 750 acres, but don't have any areal or gps info. There is a real nice tall hill that has a rocky ridge along the backside. The cool thing is that he has access to any kind of heavy equipment so the sky is the limit. There is a nice creek that runs through the length of the property with a nice solid bottom. Lots of washes to explore, but none have been run yet...he is out there now with a dozer clearing access to obstacles.
