    Fire Extinguisher Mount

I was looking for a secure way to stow the fire extinguisher (if you dont have one you should). I came across some nice brackets, but they were expensive at like $60. I built my own for $12. See what you think.

Can it slip out of the hose clamps easy enough, or is there a quick release?

You pull the plastic handle it's called a pop pin. Then you can lift the extinguisher. The clamps never come off. It is a quick release.

Ok I see the slit now. I thought the swivel bolt was in a hole, not a notch on the extinguisher's frame. Cool build!

I did not take any pics of it in progress. Basically I built it out of cardboard to make sure everything would fit. Used the cardboard to draw out the design on some 3/16" plate and used the plasma cutter to cut out the parts. Some grinding and welding and trip to the drill press and there you have it. I got the pop pin at granger for 10 bucks. Nothing really to it. FYI I kept the cardboard template if anyone needs them.
