    5-wire Warn winch controller

Any body looking to get rid of one laying around. Let me know what it'll cost me, I just can't see paying $80 for a new one from Warn.

You can also do your own in-cab switch easy and cheap.

    5-wire Warn winch controller

I have all ready done a in-cab remote. But I have found it has many limitations, when trying to winch over a hill side and you can't see or hear who your winching, and when I'm trying to re-spool the cable properly after a long weekend and it looks like a big bird nest. Plus I just don't like being limited to one remote source if that one happens to fail when your in the middle of nowhere.

That is why I have never done it But it is a cheap alternative if your in a bind. I had a switch on my Dodge mounted under the grill. Truck came with no remote and could not buy one. So I put the switch under the right side of the grill.

Yea, I had the original remote but the rubber handle started falling apart. So I just hard mounted the switch in it with all the original wiring.

Well I just went by HF and picked up one of their wireless remotes, so I'll be retrofitting it into my system.

Let me know how it works out. What kind of winch do you have? I have been thinking of getting one of those.
